ExpertCalculator is a small, independent project run by engineering academics. We don't have permanent staff openings, but we collaborate with the right people on specific projects.
How we work
ExpertCalculator is operated by Sunith Babu L, Ph.D. as an independent project. There are no permanent employees. Most work is done by the founder; specialised tasks are done by collaborators on a project basis.
We're open to working with:
- Subject-matter reviewers — for new category launches (Area, Volume, Weight, Temperature, Time, Finance), we engage qualified domain experts to review the technical content before publication
- Translators — when we expand to other languages (German, French, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese), we'll engage native-speaking translators who also have technical expertise
- Illustrators — for diagrams that enhance technical explanations
- SEO and content strategists — for periodic site audits and content strategy
Current opportunities
Volume category reviewer (collaborative)
Status: Opening in mid-2026 as we approach the Volume category launch.
Looking for: Someone with formal training in chemistry, chemical engineering, or fluid mechanics who can review our Volume converter content for accuracy and clarity before publication.
Engagement: Project-based fee, work mostly asynchronous.
Weight & mass reviewer (collaborative)
Status: Opening in mid-2026.
Looking for: A physicist or metrology specialist familiar with the kilogram redefinition (2019), troy weight system, and shipping/freight applications.
Engagement: Project-based fee.
Finance domain expert (collaborative)
Status: Opening in early 2027 as we approach the Finance category launch.
Looking for: CFA, CPA, or similar with experience in financial-ratio calculation, currency markets, and basis-points / interest-rate arithmetic.
Engagement: Project-based fee.
